Mural Club with Denae’ Manion
When: 3:30 PM during the school year / 1:00 PM during summer break
Meets: 3rd Wednesday of each month
Where: Wasco County Library
Who: Open to all students in grades 6–12
Join artist Deane Manion for a dynamic after-school and summer mural club open to all students in grades 6–12. Hosted at the Wasco County Library, this club invites youth to explore the art of mural-making while actively contributing to community beautification efforts.
Together, members will take on real-world projects aimed at transforming public and private spaces affected by graffiti, vandalism, and neglect. The club will accept public suggestions for project locations and themes, encouraging community involvement and collaboration.
The group’s mission is to restore and reimagine defaced or diminished surfaces—bringing them back to life through meaningful mural art and shared creativity. Students will gain hands-on experience in design, planning, and installation, all while building teamwork and camaraderie.
Sign up today at the Wasco County Library!
Mural projects will take place between monthly meetings based on availability and project scope.
