Denae’ worked to repair and restore this sandblasted wooden sign.
Letters and shapes were re-sculped.
Holes were filled and uneven areas patched and sealed.
A brighter renewed version of the original sign was repainted.

Here’s the sign as it was delivered to us.
The wood needed about a week to dry out and was in rough shape—cracked, warped at the panel seams, and with areas of rot. It was clear this sign would require extensive restoration.
One of the first steps is removing any loose materials—such as flaking paint, damaged wood, and old repairs from previous restorations.

An updated version of the original desk cutouts artwork is projected and traced directly onto the brick surface for accurate recreation.
